He learned early how dangerous “I can’t afford it” can be, and how replacing it with “How can I afford it?” can benefit you greatly.3.13.01 While still in High School the Black Lion Investment Club was created by La’ Brell Greene when he found himself and a few of his close friends all had a good amount of money in their accounts from club promotions and was looking for a smart avenue to utilize the money in the smartest way. The company was started and with the help of close friends, investments was made.6.17.03 Labrell Greene has always incorporated his unique style into every aspect of his life. In 2003, shortly after he finished high school, he decided to fulfill a life-long dream and partner up with his older brother to launch Philosophy South Clothing. The line was created for the purpose of having the brothers own representation of how the down south lifestyle can reflect through fashion. I’ve always wanted to start my own apparel line, when my brother came to me with the idea; he had me sold half through the conversation. The only other though in my head was wondering if the timing was right, after a few years into the business, im glad we started when we did. –said Labrell Greene5.9.05 Since the launch of Philosophy South clothing, Labrell Greene teamed up with a few other partners to launch a female clothing company by the name of Connie Denise Clothing, with the success of both companies labrell continues to push in hopes of seeing the two companies grow into international brands.7.20.06 The launch of Black Lions Music group, Labrell looks to position his company to become a back door to the major label company in efforts to help get new artist recording deals.2011 was a great year. Although that chapter is finished, I’m planning to make 2012 an even greater year.
