About Lacey Conrad

I have always loved school and everything related to it. I am the person who gets excited to shop for school supplies, loves cracking open a new textbook for the first time, and is always on the hunt for the *perfect* planner to record my daily to do list/assignments/game plan. It took me a long time and a few tries to realize, but education is the perfect field for me. I love learning, and if I can inspire my students' curiosity, sense of wonder, or simply just help them through a subject they struggle with, I will call that a successful career. I like to think of myself as a scientist, specifically a biologist. I am a fierce protector of the environment and animals and I love to discuss ecological and evolutionary hypotheses. It's my goal to make the world a more scientifically literate place, one middle or high school class at a time. My interests in the field of education are the changing demographics of the classroom and how to facilitate learning for ELLs, and alternative schools such as online education and charter schools. I'll be graduating in 2018, so look out for my resume at a school near you.
