Background

About Lachlan Beesley

Since the age of ten, when I started my first paper route, I have had a strong work ethic, and have been motivated toward success. I started my adult career with News Limited straight after finishing high school, and have worked my way up within the organisation over 19 years. I have always maintained a strong work ethic with a willingness to strive to achieve more, learn more, and adapt to new development and change. I have demonstrated my strengths over the past two years since my transfer into the maritime stevedoring industry. I have thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the original Hutchison Team, operating robotic operating systems through original commissioning and imputing towards terminal set-up. During this time I have been promoted to various positions including Team Leader (Yard-Ship-Lashing), Landside Co-Ordinator and Workplace Trainer. I have built a reputation amongst my peers and colleagues as being a strong motivator and leader and have received positive feed-back on my outgoing personality, and approachable fair leadership technique. These skills and strengths also convey outside of work, where my strong interests include coaching Rugby League. I have been appointed coach of the A grade team for Valley United Rugby League Club, and our team were successful in taking the premiership cup last year which was a huge honour for me. I have been invited back as coach this season, and I look forward to building and directing a team in defending our title. I live a very active lifestyle, enjoying fitness and the outdoors, and aside from Rugby, I also involve myself in my son’s nipper’s squad at Freshwater beach. I am confident that my career experience, constant quest to achieve, strong and fair work ethic and ability to build strong relationships both independently and within various team environments will be an asset to your organisation, and I look forward to discussing this further in person.
