About Lachlan Burne

Platform and Integration Engineer at Deloitte Engineering. Previously during my time at Monash I've participated in a student engineering team called Monash Deep Neuron for a number of years, working on a variety of different Deep Learning based projects, particularly in Deep Reinforcement Learning. I spent 6 months working on a research project regarding automated bowel sound classification with machine learning, and which I published a paper on in the Journal for Biomedical and Health Informatics. Finally, I have worked as a research assistant at DeMarco Lab on Monash University's Clayton campus, working on a universal python framework (OpenFIBSEM) for FIBSEM microscopes that aims to bridge the gap between manufacturers and enable researchers to automate complex workflows. A paper on the framework has been published in the Journal of Structural Biology.
