About Lachlan Drew
I’m a Mechanical Engineer with 7 years’ experience in production and R&D in the automotive industry. I have been involved in a wide range of manufacturing processes, from machining, EDM processes, brazing, additive and forming. I have worked in a variety of disciplines and overseen a variety of teams, working to aggressive and challenging deadlines. I am passionate about motorsport and the development of automotive design. I particularly enjoy both the design and physical construction involved in prototype development. I have had experience with CAD softwares with Solidworks, programming with MasterCam, as well as hands-on manual fabrication techniques with sheet metal working, TIG and MIG welding. My passion for practical/applied mechanical skills has led me to volunteer for amateur motorsport teams as mechanical support, as well as engineering design and fabrication. I enjoy the challenge of working under the pressures of racing. I have self-taught experience in engine building and tuning, using both EFI and mechanical injection methods.
