About Laci Chisholm

I’m the founder and owner of Fit4Dance, a Brooklyn-based dance and fitness studio dedicated to creating a welcoming, empowering space rooted in culture, community, and wellness. For the past 10 years, I’ve built Fit4Dance from the ground up—transforming a personal passion for dance and wellness into a thriving business that offers diverse classes, wellness retreats, corporate partnerships, and community programs. As a business owner, I wear many hats: strategic planner, instructor, event organizer, grant writer, marketer, and community builder. My mission is to make dance and wellness accessible—especially for Black women and communities of color—by offering high-quality, culturally relevant classes and experiences in an inclusive environment. Before launching Fit4Dance, I worked as a charter school leader, public school educator, and arts advocate. That background continues to inform my approach—combining structure, creativity, and deep care for the people I serve. I’ve been honored with awards including SBA’s Entrepreneur of the Year, and I’m committed to using movement as a tool for healing, connection, and joy.
