About Ladetria Denson
I have always heard the quote,"Do what you love" but I had a problem finding what I loved. I always knew that I wanted to do something that would make a positive difference in someone's life. That desire led me to the world of nonprofits. This has allowed me to recognize that I am passionate about helping those that everyone seems to ignore and overlook, children. I especially have an interest in helping children from underserved communities. Society expects them to look or act a certain way and when they don’t, they want to dismiss them instead of getting to the root cause of what may be affecting them. My most recent role has provided me with the opportunity to work with children from one of the most overlooked demographics in Metro Atlanta. Not only have I been able to show them what I know but I have learned so much from them also.
