About Lain Moraga

With over a decade of experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS), I have built a career centered on fostering safe, compliant, and sustainable work environments across manufacturing, food production, and logistics industries. My background includes designing and implementing EHS programs, conducting audits and risk assessments, and leading cross-functional initiatives that have significantly reduced workplace injuries and environmental incidents. At Mitsubishi Chemical Group, I led efforts to align operations with OSHA, Cal/OSHA, and EPA regulations in a high-volume plastic manufacturing facility, helping the plant move toward a “Zero Waste to Landfill” goal. I also managed chemical inventory and waste reduction initiatives while delivering impactful employee training. During my time at Berry Global and SK Food Group, I facilitated safety committee meetings, conducted incident investigations, and ensured compliance with OSHA, FDA, and SQF standards. My hands-on experience extends to managing workers' compensation programs, leading corrective/preventive actions, and communicating EHS performance to all organizational levels. I hold certifications including OSHA 30, HACCP, SQF Practitioner, and RC14001 Auditor, and I’m committed to continuous improvement in safety culture and environmental stewardship. I take pride in my ability to promote accountability, build collaborative teams, and create systems that protect both employees and the environment.
