About Laise Dutra

Multilingual (Portuguese, English, Spanish and German) Environment and Energy, BSc. and Agricultural and Environmental Engineering student, I always had an innate interest in energy and technology. Passionate about energy since childhood, I tried to understand how the equipments I had at home worked, disassembling and assembling things. I had my first contact with energy generation, accompanying my parents on a technical visit to a hydroelectric plant. For years I looked for ways to learn more about generation. After finishing high school, I did an exchange program in the United Kingdom. When I started my studies at the School of Engineering at UFF, I specialized, inside and outside the university, in renewable energies. I had the opportunity to study in Germany, studying Environment and Energy, BSc, inserting myself in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment. There I attended countless field visits, learned about the European energy matrix, improved my knowledge about renewables and got to know the free energy market. At the moment I am a Renewable Energy Development Intern at Omega Energia, acting on renewable energy projects in the United States.
