About Lakitia Avery

As a mission-driven leader in online education, I bring 17+ years of experience in professional, continuing and online education. Currently, I serve as Director of Program Management for Kent State Online, where I lead with strategy, purpose, and a deep commitment to student success and access. One of my accomplishments has been building a centralized admissions and student services unit from the group up. I hired and develop a team, implemented recruitment outreach initiatives, launched a personalized email campaign in Slate CRM to guide prospective students through the admissions pipeline, and created an operations plan for the unit. These efforts have improved the online student experience and enrollment outcomes. I collaborate across academic and administrative teams to launch high-quality online programs that are scalable and align with institutional goals. I’m currently open to strategic leadership roles in higher education or education technology, where I can continue to build systems, teams and programs that transform the student experience.
