About Lam Ho

I am a current UCSD Masters of Advanced Studies, Data Science and Engineering student, UCLA B.A Economics graduate and Marine Corps Veteran with a strong background in statistics, computer programming, data science, and data engineering. I have worked on analytics projects with topics ranging from vehicle maintenance to employee turnover. I have been working at MicroVention-Terumo since 2019. In my time there- I have worked for the Human Resources and Procurement and will be transferring to Finance in April 2022- My specialty is in data extraction streamlining using python and report/dashboard creation through Power Bi and Power Automate- My main passion is to automate processes done manually through excel in order to improve accuracy, increase speed of reporting, and free up other associates' time for more fruitful endeavors. Halfway through capstone project for graduate program: Overall goal is to create a simple mathematical model to assist firefighters in planning controlled burns. Project Role: 1) Build the pipeline to extract key features from simulated burns. 2) Create machine learning model that labels each burn as safe or unsafe.
