About Lamar Jones

In this role I collaborate with project managers, foremen, and truckers to optimize project efficiency for construction projects with multi-million dollar budgets. This is executed in daily operation by email, telephone, and in person communication. I ensure that all applicable equipment such as dozers, front end loaders, compactors, and other pertinent equipment are available for each construction project by utilizing Build 2 Win/Bid 2 Win Software and company maintained equipment lists. Also in this role I create framework to monitor project metrics and manage the collection of project data by gathering trucking tickets, contractor invoices, and other field information. This is done by utilizing Microsoft Excel, Access, and applying general field knowledge and problem solving. I work in partnership with various local agencies such as WE Energies, City of Milwaukee, Diggers Hotline and others to gain authorization and special permissions for productivity, safety, and legalization of construction projects. When I am not engaged with my regular assigned duties, I attend conferences to gain insight on future projects, local and private funding, and changes in construction standards and regulations. Listening and recording the information at conferences and briefing the Estimating Department helps to create future project plans.
