Biotechnologist that is focusing on molecular microbiology, instrumemtation and quality assurance, and process development for industrial production of cellular metabolites. Enjoyed building (fromn scratch) benchtop experiments for packed bead fermenter bioreactors in my core education. Applied molecular technique such as qPCR, RT-PCR (Reverse Transcriptase PCR), Sanger Sequenicng, MultiPlex Ligand Probe Assay, Fragmentation for the detection of hereditary and oncology variants in human tissue types. Knowledge of various nucleic acid extraction techniques and instrumentation for DNA, RNA and whole nucleic acids. Performed robust purification methods with various instruments from PerkinElmer and ThermoFisher. Maintained and validated new and routine instruments such as ABI 7500 FastDX, ABI 3730xl DNA Analyzers and others for clinical use and subsequent patient diagnosis. Active in a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion institution wide program as a 'Champion'. Received routine training on how to identify discrimination or inconsistencies that negatively affect productivity. Was an ally to various coworkers in various roles. I love traveling and experiencing new things in general, I will always taste something twice before making a decision. I appreciate a workload heavy enough to make the work day go by while also experiencing a sense of satisfaction. I understand that a healthy work-life balance, works.
