About Lana Blitstein

With four summers as the Summer Learning Program Manager at Compass for Kids, I lead efforts to close educational gaps for underserved youth. Our award-winning Camp Compass program focuses on preventing summer learning loss while fostering skills in reading and math. I oversee policy creation, human resources, and the referral and registration process in collaboration with families, school districts, and transportation providers. My expertise spans program development, volunteer management, and social services, complemented by my role as a Community Educator with HEAL Trafficking. In this role, I facilitate multidisciplinary trainings for professionals on identifying and supporting survivors of human trafficking. Deeply committed to empowering vulnerable populations, I aim to foster equity and opportunity through impactful programming and education.
