About Lance Barela

With over 6 years of experience in facility, safety, and security management, I am a versatile and resourceful professional who can handle multiple projects and tasks efficiently and effectively. I have a passion for creating and maintaining safe, secure, and functional work environments that support the goals and operations of the organization. I have a bachelor's degree in Japanese studies and a certification in airframe and powerplant (aircraft maintenance), which reflect my interest in learning new skills and cultures. As the Facility, Safety, and Security Manager at CEVA Logistics, I oversee all aspects of facility systems and operations equipment, implement and manage all company safety programs, and develop and implement site-specific training, procedures, and standards for security. I also coordinate and oversee facility improvement projects, perform incident investigations, maintain audit-specific records, and ensure compliance with OSHA requirements. Some of my achievements include having no recordable injuries for 2023 increased powered industrial truck (PIT) inspection documentation turn-in by 90%, and increased PIT safety awareness by 60%. I use my problem-solving, supervisory, and employee training skills to deliver high-quality results and foster a positive and collaborative team culture.
