About Lance Culbert

I currently teach the following classes: AP Computer Science A, Honors Computer Science 1, and Business Information Management (BIM) I. I have also provided instruction in the following subjects: BIM-Dual Credit, Web Technologies, Microcomputer Applications, Business Computer Information Systems (BCIS) I, BCIS II, BCIS II-Dual Credit, Business Computer Programming, Business Computer Programming-Dual Credit, Web Design, Webmasters, Biology I, Physical Science and Integrated Physics & Chemistry, and 7th grade science. I have also provided adult education in the form of teacher inservices and adult community education coursework. I have also served as an advisor/coach for the following student organizations and contests: Key Club, UIL Computer Applications, UIL Computer Science, UIL Current Issues & Events, Class of 2002. I was selected by my peers as the 2013 and 2020 Canyon High School Teacher of the Year and was one of two finalists for CISD Secondary Teacher of the Year those years. I have also been honored as Coffee Memorial Blood Center's High School Blood Drive Coordinator of the Year. I have also served on various employee committees, such as CISD's Teacher Advisory Council, District Advisory Council, Campus Communication Committee, Campus Leadership Team, and Building Leadership Team. I hold Microsoft Office Specialist Associate and Expert certifications.
