About Lance Davis

Lance Davis is a dedicated leader with a proven track record in driving sustainable policies within the built environment. As the Sustainability Architect for the U.S. General Services Administration in Washington, DC, and Program Manager for P100, Facility Standards, he is at the forefront of developing and implementing innovative policies to reduce carbon, enhance energy efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and create healthier spaces that support all life. He is credited with implementing the most comprehensive sustainability policy in the nation. A Fellow of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and a LEED Fellow, Lance brings a wealth of expertise and leadership to the field. His past role as Chair of the USGBC's LEED Steering Committee and appointment to President Biden's Climate Smart Infrastructure Working Group underscore his commitment to advancing sustainable building practices and policies. With a Bachelor of Architecture from Mississippi State University, where he is also a Fellow, Lance has a strong foundation in architectural design, sustainable principles, and policy creation. He is a coauthor of the book "Sustainability Matters" and his feature in "The Rise of Living Architecture" showcase his thought leadership and ability to communicate complex concepts effectively.
