About Lance Evans

I am the Executive Officer of the Jefferson-Lewis (NY) Board of REALTORS®, a position I have held since September 1998. In September 2001, the St. Lawrence County (NY) Board of REALTORS® began buying business services from the Jefferson-Lewis Board of REALTORS® and I became their Executive Officer as well. Each has its own governance body and its own separate internet based MLS. All in all, there are over 580 REALTOR® members between the two associations. In 2004, I earned the REALTOR® Association Certified Executive (RCE) designation and have served on the RCE Certification Committee for NAR. In the fall of 2011, I was awarded a certificate in non-profit management from the University of Chicago's Graham School of General Studies in association with the National Association of REALTORS. I am also certified as a Professional Standards Administrator, hold NAR's e-Pro and At Home With Diversity Certifications and the C2EX Designation. In 2020, I earned the PMN (Performance Management Network) Designation from the Women's Council of REALTORS. I am one of a handful of Association Executives who have earned this. I have been on, and continue to serve, on numerous NAR and NYSAR Committees and workgroups. Currently I am a member of the AEC-RCE Certification Advisory Board as well as NYSAR committees. I have a Bachelors Degree from the State University of NY - Potsdam and a Masters Degree in Business and Policy Studies from the State University of NY - Empire State College. I have served as a member of the SUNY Potsdam Alumni Board of Trustees since 1983. I live in Watertown, NY with my wife, Cheryl who is a retired Kindergarten teacher.
