About Lance Hashim

Finance and global sales professional with over 20 years of experience. Specializing in protection strategies, retirement plans and business development. Also responsible for the technology and operations of the GWS group. Grew up as a world citizen. Born in Sri Lanka, lived in Saudi Arabia, and attended boarding school at Marlborough College in England. Attended college on the east coast of the US and later in Arizona to obtain undergraduate degrees in Architecture, Environmental Engineering and Software Engineering. Continued education by completing an MBA and a graduate certificate in Project Management from the Keller Graduate School of Management. Previously worked as a project manager on global initiatives for companies, such as Hewlett Packard and Sony before transitioning into the financial services industry. It was here that I came to enjoy making a difference in people’s lives by helping them create financially stable legacies not only for themselves but their future generations. Financial service experience included working at New York Life Insurance Company and then as an independent insurance producer. This previous experience, coupled with a global perspective and experience in technology fields, brings a combination of skills that aid in crafting unique strategies for the GWS team. Enjoy travelling internationally to visit family and friends spread across the globe, including as far away as Australia. Personal interests include photography, health and wellness, DIY projects and working with charitable and business organizations as a volunteer and/or member. Currently pursuing the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) Designation as a personal achievement goal.
