About Lance Queen

Lance is the owner and founder of Lawrence Builders. He is a second generation builder that is most fulfilled when he is creating something from scratch. Lance is passionate about building high quality homes for great clients. In his younger years, Lance could be found hanging around his father's construction business doing what most people would call making a mess, but ultimately, he was gaining valuable experience doing miscellaneous labor, running machinery and driving trucks to help with the completion of jobs. ​ After school, Lance went to work for a local builder where he had an informal apprenticeship as a carpenter. Like all apprentices, he carried his fair share of lumber and shoveled for days. Over time, he went from just carrying a tape measure to knowing what to do with that tape measure. During this time, he helped build custom homes, commercial buildings, and did extensive renovations. ​ While working as a carpenter, Lance was enlisted by family and friends for small repair jobs. Small jobs led to renovations which led to ground construction. During this time, Lawrence Builders was born. Also, around this time, Lance became a licensed WV Real Estate Agent. Later, at age 27, Lance established Lawrence Development. A real estate company that focuses on the rehabilitation of distressed properties and ground up construction. This combined his interest of real estate and passion of building. ​ Today, Lance lives in Parkersburg, WV with is wife Lauren and daughter Nora Kate. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, trying new restaurants, and exploring the outdoors.
