About Lance Schmidt

I'm a filmmaker, artist, and multimedia specialist. ​ A graduate of the New York Film Academy, where I was instructed by current and former industry professionals in the media capital of the world. Through an immersive course involving new and old technique and equipment alike, I studied with what became several of today's leading international feature film and commercial advertisement directors. Since graduating the filmmaking program at NYFA in 2005, I have worked in many media fields. My on-set experience in several television and film sets includes 'Law and Order' and 'West Wing'. I also have extensive radio experience, as a producer of both programs and commercials. In 2010 I created and organized the annual Dutch Tilt Film Festival for three consecutive years. The event raised money for the ongoing restoration of the Holland Theatre, and showed over 50 films from 6 different countries. A professional screen printer since 2014, able to design in Illustrator and print apparel by hand or machine. My artistic hobbies include painting, charcoal drawing, and clay sculpture. ​ Well versed in Final Cut, Avid, Adobe Premier, AudioVAULT, Videotoaster, and Photoshop (among others)- I have the training and abilities to create in any media.​
