Newport Municipal is a class B-II, General Aviation airport. Responsibilities are overseeing day to day airport operations, running an FBO, ground leasing, grant writing, Airport Committee liaison, and provide public presentations of the airport. Other areas of knowledge include: Digital NOTAM issuing, wildlife management, safety, security, aircraft operations. I have experience with airport NAVAID systems, ILS, MALSR, AWOS, Windsock, HIRL, MIRL lighting, electrical systems, aviation fuel systems, storm water drainage 1200z DEQ permitting, aircraft deicing, communications systems, and customer service. I have knowledge in AIP granting, CIP, ACM writing, AEP trainer and updating, ARFF operations, Lease negotiation, FCC licensing, 5010 updating. I also am responsible for running the City owned FBO. I am the NATA fuel supervisor, FBO and operations trainer. I have a good working knowledge of fuel quality control measures, fuel farm maintenance, fuel refueler operations and maintenance, Fuel Master Self Serve operations, pilot services, FAA aero chart distributor, Rental car program, catering, knowledge of local tourist attractions, and Office manager. I work yearly with several Federal, State, and County agencies; for need yearly inspections and certifications required to operate the Newport Municipal Airport and FBO. Included are FAA, field inspectors, ANM-SEA-ADO,FSDO, POCC, FSS, NTSB, TSA, FBI, USDA, NOAA. Oregon Department of Aviation, Weights and measure, DEQ, OR-OSHA, Oregon State Trooper's, Fish and Wildlife, State Fire Marshall, Lincoln County Sheriff's office, DA, Chamber of Commerce, Newport's Police, Fire, Public works, Finance, and Rec center. I also sit on the City of Newport's Emergency Operations committee, Newport Employee Committee. I have a Bachelor’s from MSU-Billings in Liberal Studies. FEMA IS training
