About Lane Moore

I am an experienced educational leader with over 30 years in K–12 and post-secondary education, including 22 years as a Principal in rural and Pre-K to 12 school settings. My work has focused on leading instructional improvement, building strong school cultures, and developing the capacity of educators and leaders to support student success. In my current role as a Sessional Instructor and Practicum Advisor at Red Deer Polytechnic, I work with pre-service teachers across multiple stages of their development, supporting their progression from belief-based practice to professional judgment. This includes mentoring, evaluation, and helping future educators apply inclusive practices, instructional strategies, and professional standards within real classroom contexts. Throughout my career, I have led collaborative teams focused on improving literacy and numeracy, strengthening inclusive education, and aligning practices to better support diverse learners. I have also supported leadership development beyond my own school through professional learning, school visits, and mentoring of emerging administrators. In addition, my work as a Quality Assurance Evaluator with Maple Bear Global Schools has provided experience in system-level review, supporting school leaders in evidence-based evaluation, program alignment, and improvement planning. I am particularly interested in leadership development, inclusive education, and building coherence across schools and systems. I value collaboration, practical problem-solving, and supporting others in strengthening their professional practice.
