About Lanny Stone

A native Louisianan, I have 10 years of experience working in the field of environmental compliance as an environmental professional in the wood products and chemical industries. I have become very adept at both Federal and State regulations. During my career, I have overseen and permitted major equipment and process modifications. In South Carolina, my role was Facility Environmental Engineer overseeing the permitting and start-up of a greenfield facility. This has involved air quality as a Title V facility with NSPS units and MACT standards, water quality including waste water and storm water, as well as waste management. I am familiar with SPCC, CERCLA, and EPRCA regulations as well. As the facility has started up, developing and streamlining an Environmental Management System that makes sense and goes beyond compliance has been challenging and rewarding. I have been the lead for air quality including PSD permitting, sustainability, reporting and source testing. In my current role, I cover all media with the addition of groundwater monitoring and disposal injection wells. I strive for excellence for my organization and help wherever I can, from backfilling for the Safety Engineer to assisting with interviews with the HR Staff. When I can be a partner for success and provide creative solutions, the whole organization benefits.
