About Laoise Dillon

Designer, writer and researcher interested in creating space for community and doing good for people and the planet. I spend time reading, writing and talking about climate change, social and environmental justice, socio-ecological systems and public space. Passionate about food, cooking and hosting, and interested in food and hospitality as forms of resistance, connection and resilience. I have a BSc in Marine Science and an MSc in Environmental Policy, and I currently work in research communications and engagement on EU and national projects centered on wetland and peatland restoration, biodiversity, community participation and financing for restoration. Outside of work, I’m often running, hiking, sketching people, plants and places, or hosting seasonal food events. I’m interested in how geography and space interact with social issues and local stories, and in how we can design and advocate for environmentally, economically and socially sustainable landscapes, cities and food systems.
