About Lara Boyle

The path that has lead me to the Biosciences has been a winding road, as I never personally thought it was something I would be good at. However, I was inspired by the right people, I took a chance and enrolled into the Biotechnology Technician program at Loyalist college. I was able to exceed my own expectations at my ability to keep up with the subject material, as well as found my natural inclination to creativity a beneficial skill to problem solving. Since graduating, I have had the opportunity to work at NOD Apiary Products Ltd. as a Laboratory Technician, the Quality Coordinator, and then as their Quality Documentation Specialist. I have been able to apply the knowledge I learned from my education and learn more about the manufacturing industry and Quality Control. This has also been a time for me to hone my personal skills such as, effective communication, attention to detail, and creative problem solving skills. I am now taking my education and continuing further to pursue my BSc majoring in Microbiology at the University of Guelph.
