About Lara Chappell

Recently graduated with a diploma in Change Management in Health organisations; a Masters 2 from Paris-Dauphine and Ecole des Mines, I am currently participating in the transformation of an institution for children, teens and young adults living with complex health difficulties. My goal is to head an organisation or establishment within the health and social sectors in France, where I can apply my 25 years of experience in communications and marketing, as well as my management skills. Previously, I spent 11 years at EURORDIS-Rare Diseases Europe, a non-profit alliance of over rare disease patient organisations, where I held various leadership roles in communications and development. I was instrumental in shaping the communication strategy of EURORDIS, including the following areas : raising awareness, community engagement, empowering rare disease patient groups, and building multi-stakeholder events to prioritize collaboration and dialogue. I also led the global awareness campaign for Rare Disease Day, with organisations in over 100 countries participating in 2021, helping patients and patient organisations around the world advocate for rare diseases as a public health issue. I have expertise in media relations, marketing strategy, team management, and interpersonal skills, particularly in an international environment.
