About Lara Fluri

I am a second year physician assistant student at the University of Toronto and will be graduating with a Bachelor of Science Physician Assistant degree. After graduating, I will be writing the Physician Assistant Certification Exam (PACE) to become a Canadian Certified Physician Assistant (CCPA). I have interests in emergency medicine, family medicine, internal medicine/hospitalist, cardiology, and women’s health. I will be pursuing career opportunities in the Niagara region and beyond after completing my program. I hold a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Medical Sciences with First-Class Standing from Brock University. My current clinical rotations, along with my previous work and volunteer experiences, have helped develop my collaboration, communication, leadership, time management, and active listening skills which are amongst the skills needed to be an exceptional physician assistant. In my free time you can find me birding, hiking, fishing, kayaking, and reading. I am also passionate about water safety from many years working as a lifeguard/swim instructor & head lifeguard. I am looking to make connections and I love being exposed to new learning opportunities. Have an amazing day!
