After having completed my 3 years of articles at Deloitte (South Africa), in the general audit department, I applied for, and was fortunate enough to be appointed, an opportunity to complete secondment at Deloitte (UK) where I performed the duties of an assistant manager in the Public General Audit Department for a period of approximately 3 months staring on 1 January 2020 and finishing at the end of March 2020. Thereafter I completed a 6-month contract at Glencore (South Africa) as a budget analyst, compiling and analysing the 2021 budgets for the African mines. I then moved to the Cayman Islands where I took up a position as an audit supervisor at KPMG in the asset management department, where I have had exposure to Fund of Funds, Equity Funds and Debt Funds reporting in both IFRS and US GAAP.I am currently working at Maples Group as a Vice President in Financial Reporting for Funds During my time in audit, both locally and internationally, I served on audit engagements of a variety of clients, both JSE listed, NASDAQ listed as well as privately owned. Having been exposed to and involved in both the public sector as well as the private sector I feel that I am competent in ensuring compliance with the specific regulations and procedures applicable to both sectors and have experience at engaging appropriately with differing levels of clients. I am a young professional with strong business acumen, capable of working alone or as part of a team, I have completed my SAICA training contract and I am register as a CA(SA) with SAICA. I have an open mind to the ever-evolving digital landscape. I am an enthusiastic and dynamic individual that adapts to changes and endures and overcomes challenging situations. I am committed to giving high quality client service and I am eager to expand my skill set and grow as an individual.
