About Lara Wolfe

I am a Sub-Saharan Africa Country Risk Analyst at Fitch Solutions. I am responsible for coverage of markets such as South Africa, Tanzania and Mauritius and also have an interest in Sino-African relations. I analyse monetary and fiscal policy, economic (and banking sector) activity, balance of payments, foreign exchange rates and political risk. In my spare time, I am currently completing an MA in Global Security and Strategy at the School of Oriental and African Studies. Before working at Fitch, I completed a challenging four year degree in Chinese language, history and culture at Cambridge University, after developing new skills during my year abroad at Peking University, my summer at one of Taiwan’s top universities and my gap year interning at the China Daily newspaper. Nine years of moving around the world have taught me to embrace change with a positive outlook, a sense of humour and a finely tuned ability to adapt to whatever life throws at me.
