About Lari Malmi

I’m a Scrum Master (Quarterback) at Innofactor, but an entrepreneur by heart. This led me to co-found a startup company called Kuutti Entertainment Oy during my university studies with couple of likeminded friends of mine. Taking this startup journey and being involved with the startup community has given me rare perspective shared only by the people who have taken similar leap of faith. The startup mindset, can do attitude and focusing on solutions are definitely some of my strengths. I have a Master's Degree in Software Engineering. I’m creative, passionate and social person who is very much dedicated to his craft. In my opinion, the goal in software development should always be to maximize customer value, while reducing waste and keeping everyone involved engaged and happy. By doing this, good things will follow. I’m a big advocate for lean way of thinking and agile software development methods. A phrase you will regularly hear me say is “shorten the feedback loops”. I believe in leading by example. To me this means that I demand more from myself than I do from others. I have also witnessed this to be the best way to drive a change in a company, by proving that something can be done better often makes a compelling argument. I treat challenges and setbacks as learning opportunities and my focus is always on how to make the best from every situation. In my career, I have guided several projects from start to finish, managed various teams, products, processes and software architectures. The latest one being a machine learning solution for automatic MEP design. I’m experienced with technologies like: C#.NET, Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, Cli/C++, Java, Python, Scala, Git, SVN, HTML, CSS, XAML, XML, JSON, VAADIN, SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, AI/ML development, Neural Networks, etc. I have a lot of experience with Microsoft Azure cloud offerings and know my way around in tools like: Unity3D, Blender, Photoshop, Visio, etc.
