With over 20 years of work experience in purchasing and procurement, I have developed a strong expertise in healthcare supply chain management, process improvement, team building, and administration. As the Purchasing Manager at Children's of Alabama, I oversaw the purchasing activities for the largest pediatric medical facility in the state, managing a team of 5 buyers and assistants. I am responsible for ensuring quality, compliance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness of the procurement process, negotiating with non contractual vendors, implementing best practices, and resolving issues. I also supported the strategic planning and budgeting of the organization, collaborating with other departments. Prior to that, I worked as a Buyer at the same organization for over 9 years, where I gained valuable experience in sourcing, ordering, receiving, and tracking medical supplies and equipment. I am passionate about providing the best possible care and service to the patients and staff, and I am always eager to learn new skills and technologies that can enhance the purchasing function.
