Larry Farnsworth is a former Congressional leadership staffer and experienced public affairs executive with the ability to balance strategic and innovative thinking with the realities of tactical execution and organizational effectiveness. Farnsworth has experience working directly with policymakers and representing industry stakeholders on numerous issue areas, including tech, internet privacy, data security, health care, financial services, transportation, public lands, natural resources, agriculture, labor issues, and the oil and gas industry. As a change maker, his counsel has successfully influenced not just the policy process but also the productivity of organizations. He has successfully advocated on issues before federal, state, and local officials. His experience managing public affairs campaigns and the teams that execute them have been recognized by peer-reviewed journals and the leading trade organization in the public relations industry. A grassroots campaign conceptualized by Farnsworth on behalf of a major healthcare trade association was labeled by Columbia University’s School of Journalism as a best practice in how to use the media to affect public policy outcomes. For another major trade association in the technology space, he developed a stakeholder outreach and communications plan and then hired the team to manage the day-to-day execution. That campaign’s metrics eventually led it to be nominated for a Silver Anvil Award by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), which is one of the most prestigious awards in the public relations industry.
