Since 1991 I have helped people improve where they LIVE, WORK, PLAY AND GROW. DesignMatters. My goal for every client is to demonstrate how their lives can be improved through thoughtful and considerate design. But design is not the thing. Building a design that helps a client meet their goals is the thing. This means an architectural designer must listen to their client and serve them well. Thus we must understand the budget, construction, estimating, detailing, specifications, zoning, building codes, engineering principles.and so much more. The design team cannot bury it's heads in the sand. As leaders, architects and designers need to bring reality to any project they work on. Delivering the difficult news to our clients, and helping them work through to a solution that can be built. I love my profession. I cannot imagine doing anything else. Specialties: Practical solutions that integrate solid design that takes a second chair to the client's goals. Design is fun. Business is work. You have to have one to balance the other.all work and no play.(And the otherway around)!
