About Larry Johns

Over the course of four years, I have played a key role in managing the inventory and logistics for over $40M in steel pipe, overseeing the efficient allocation of materials for inbound and outbound freight. I coordinated with third-party freight brokers to ensure timely and cost-effective shipments, while also maintaining oversight of ongoing projects, tracking progress, and ensuring on-time deliveries to clients. In addition, I reviewed open sales orders to identify customer requirements and created production schedules to support the sales team’s efforts. I worked closely with the accounting department to review purchase orders and analyzed Cost of Sales sheets to determine gross profit on sales. A key part of my role involved inspecting products to ensure they met quality standards, as well as helping to implement new safety standards for the operations team, which contributed to a safer and more efficient work environment. Throughout this period, I developed a deep understanding of supply chain logistics, financial analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.
