About Larry Satchwell
With the Newton County PEP Grant ending in June 2015 it concludes my stay with Newton County School System. It has been a pleasure working with the elementary physical education teachers, providing equipment and professional development so they can grow in their teaching skills. I look forward to the next great adventure in now my 40th year in education. Since completing the USTAF Throws Academy at Chula Vista in December of 2013 I’ve had a good run of success with the track and field throwers at Parkview High School in Lilburn Georgia, each year producing a State Champion. In 2014 I had a State Champion in the men’s discus and in 2015 State Champion in the women’s shot put. In fact is this the fourth consecutive season of region champions/sectional champions/and #2 or better in the throws at the state meets.
