Plan, organize, direct all part of school district highly complex engineering and/or architectural K-12 school project or multiple projects valued over $1.6 Billion from concept through design and construction to DSA certification including closeout of the project contracts. Prepare and monitor project budgets, including support for obtaining funding. Facilitate delivery of major and minor construction projects including project vision, budget approval of consultants(s) and contractor work products. Participate in all preconstruction activities; coordination of constructability reviews, assist in the development of construction phasing and scheduling, procurement and installation of interim housing, assist in bidding process, job walks, analysis of bids before final contracts are awarded and preconstruction conferences. Ensure timely DSA certification of bond program projects working with designers, contractors, and other bond team construction professions, regulating authorities and district staff to resolve punch list and final turnover activities. Maintain current schedule of all construction and modernization projects and periodically report on progress to the school board. Assuring District compliance with state and federal environmental laws and regulations related to asbestos, lead, chemical laboratories and Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) plans as well as established health and safety practices as requires by regulatory agencies. More than thirty years of highly responsible experience and outstanding achievements in the CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY. Also, as a Chief Facilities Officer (CFO) managed the Facilities, Maintenance, Operation and Transportation department for move nine years in one district.
