About Larry Wilson

Soldier, Sailor, Tinker, Pilot, Sheriff’s Deputy (literally). I have had a varied career. A skilled computer and electronics systems engineer, with extensive leadership and management experience courtesy of the US Armed Forces. Over 20 years of computer, electronics, and SAN experience. I have worked for (among others) the US Navy, US Army, General Electric, The Orange County Sheriff’s Office, The US Air Force Auxiliary, and The Department of Homeland Security. Completed a dual Master’s degree program at the University of Phoenix in June 2017 (MBA in Human Resource Management / MS in Psychology). During this period, I was doing volunteer work as a Lieutenant Colonel serving in the US Air Force Auxiliary. Previous education includes a BS degree (History & Education) and an AS degree (Electronics) in addition to years of military and civilian schools in leadership, electronics, computer systems, radar systems, physics, math, and law enforcement. Co-Workers and Supervisors know me as a dependable self-starter who only needs to be aimed at a task no matter how far afield it may seem from my expertise. All know that my word is my bond and that I have little time or patience for Machiavellian office politics or anything else that detracts from the success of the organization. I moved to Northern Nevada in 2014. Currently working as the IT Coordinator (Director) for the Douglas County Public Library System.
