About Lars Leppin

Lars Leppin received his degree in Computer Science from Berlin's Humboldt University before starting his career in a plant engineering and construction company mainly focused on the oil & gas business. He began automating and optimising processes in and around 3D solutions and developed his expertise in AVEVA products and technology. Lars then moved to the power sector, working for several years for ALSTOM Power (now GE Power) where he was involved in a number of ALSTOM’s major projects worldwide and gained further experience in the global power business. 10 years ago, he joined VE-Solutions GmbH, a company providing design and support services focusing on power industry clients including Alstom, AREVA, MAN Diesel & Turbo, Siemens and Westinghouse. He held various positions, finally becoming Head of Development, including responsibility for customer support and development projects. In this way, he acquired nearly 20 years' deep knowledge and experience in administration, consultancy and support. He has demonstrated his ability to conceive and understand the requirements and workflows of customers from different companies and industry sectors, including the power industry. His primary concern has been preparing and drawing up optimum solutions to customer issues to improve their efficiency by increasing quality, reducing timescales and minimising, or avoiding, errors and problems. Since joining AVEVA, Lars has been working closely with the Product Marketing, Product Strategy, Product Development, Business Support, Regional Sales and Business Development teams. He also represents the market needs of the power and nuclear sector, taking the part of the customer in identifying problem areas and providing justification for development projects.
