Graduated from medical school in 1981. Interventional Radiology fellowship was done mainly in cardiac interventions, at Sahlgrenska University Hospital, Sweden the leading endovascular center at that time 1989-1992, wherafter he developed his special interest in minimal-invasive therapies and endovascular aneurysm treatment. In 2003 appointed as Associate Professor and fulltime Professor in Vascular Surgery and Interventional Radiology 2007, at the Copenhagen University, Denmark and from 2017 reappointed as Radiology Professor. He is an internationally renowned expert and invited to several of the most prestigious hospitals and meetings in the USA. He has organized international training courses on EVAR and TEVAR and practical courses (basic and advanced) on peripheral percutaneous vascular interventions in Europe, China and Saudi-Arabia. Lars has extensive experience in Aortic pathology- interventions, and cutting-edge endovascular technologies. He was consultant/scientific advisor for several medical device companies, and member of several subcommittes in CIRSE (Cardiovascular Interventional Society) and former president of the Seldinger Vascular and Interventional Society. He has written over 250 publications in peer-reviewed scientific medical journals, is member of many international societies, editor and reviewer for a variety of international scientific journals, faculty member for numerous international congresses, and has given hundreds of scientific presentations at international conferences including many keynote lectures. Momentarily, he is member of the Scientific Programme Committe of CIRSE. Lars is also since 2008 the Clinical Director of Mentice, the world leading endovascular company in Medical Simulation and Imaging. His passion for Clinical training and Education within all endovascular specialties is his Signum.
