About Lars Quentin

I am a Masters student in Applied Computer Science with a focus on Software Architecture and High-Performance-Computing (HPC). My current main interest is in Rust-Programming. My previous professional development experience includes- Building a Python/Django-based Web Frontend for long term tape archivation of scientific data including a custom LDAP adapter at the Max Planck Institute for Multidisciplinary Sciences (MPINAT)- Maintaining and extending a custom web management platform written in PHP, Bootstrap and ES6+-Javascript - Building "blackheap[1]", a complex blackbox modeller for I/O performance using Rust/C/Typescript I have built many open source projects. Here are a few selected ones- curvepy[2], a educational, fast Python-implementation of different Bezier Curve algorithms as well as Delaunay triangulations- ankiding[3], an anki flash card deck generator based on custom markdown syntax in Rust (ongoing)- Keres[4], a docxow-based cease and desist generator used for teching law students programming - walky[5], a highly parallel distributed TSP solver written with Rust and MPI (ongoing) But I can also manage and deploy my own applications. I am experienced with Linux server administration, both at the MPINAT and the HPC department at the GWDG.
