About Lars Skage

I've been an it-consultant/developer, working in all sorts of industries, for most of my working life. Starting out with building custom FileMaker databases. Eventually expanding my skills by adding database publishing solutions with external web interfaces in Lasso and workflows that would create color separated pdfs from the external input. Eventually moved into developing solutions with php and other databases, mainly MySQL. The move to using QlikView was quite easy since there are many parallels to FileMaker and when Qlik Sense was introduced things went "full circle". This has inspired me to learn more about web development, Docker, Kubernetes and GitOps. Testing things in my "home lab", that mainly consist of Raspberry Pis and Proxmox vms where I host home automations, Portainer, K3S and more. Some of it exposed externally, but through CloudFlare with authentication via Google. Every tech transition is the result of many late nights and weekends and the love of creating solutions and enjoying the process of learning. Almost everything I've learned at home can directly translate into valuable activities and confidence in my work. Building solutions that integrate with Qlik Sense or QlikCloud.
