About Laschell A. Hardy

I am a Tampa native with over 10 years of experience in social work, grant preparation, leadership and fundraising. I am currently pursuing my Masters of social work at the University of South Florida. I am a graduate student peer mentor. I also hold a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University (FAMU), where I also served as Social Work Class President for the Class of 2015.Prior to joining my current organization, I worked as a Case Manager with Lutheran Services Florida, partnering with the Hillsborough and Pinellas County court systems to address concerns related to juveniles placed in state care. In this role, I advocated for the needs and rights of children in foster care and supported families in navigating complex social service systems.I am also a longtime volunteer and former employee of The Salvation Army, where I served in several capacities, including Social Services Administrator, Event Coordinator, and most recently, Accounting Clerk. My experience there strengthened my ability to manage programs, coordinate community outreach, and oversee administrative and financial responsibilities. An active volunteer in the Tampa Bay area, I work with various agencies to address issues related to child welfare, homelessness, and community development. I am passionate, driven, and dedicated to fostering unity and improving the quality of life for others. I find great fulfillment in collaborating with others to create meaningful change within my community.
