About Lashan Pierre

The things we strive for in life are all linked to success, no matter how big or small. I am newer to the working world, but what I have experienced thus far are amazing people and many eye opening doorways into different careers. My first job was as a Support Associate working for Macy’s. From ringing up customers to leading a team in thousands of price changes, I was a part of a team considered to be the hub of information for the company. We were the ones everyone came to for assistance when Management was unavailable. We were also the ones everyone came to for information on the newest merchandise, product placement as according to floor plan, department sales for the week, customer satisfaction percentage, number of new accounts opened for the week and more! I loved being such an endless resource for others and I loved having such an active role within the company on both the customer service side and the corporate side. It was an amazing experience and it definitely solidified how excited I am to not only lead a team of my own someday, but how excited I am to help people and embrace true leadership roles. The job was challenging both mentally and physically and as my first and only source of job experience I believe my 2 year long role at Macy’s taught me leadership skills, quick cognitive thinking, problem solving skills, and also amazing interpersonal skills. It was an experience I will always cherish and a great stepping stone to further my career.
