About Lashandra Roberts

Curiosity killed the cat but satisfaction brought him back. I am a determined, inquisitive educator. In 2014 I attended Malcolm X college where I earned my Associate of the Arts Degree and was inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society. At this very moment, I am enrolled at National Louis University in pursuit of a Bachelor's Degree in education k-6th grade with a 4.0 GPA. I aspire to have my own classroom to inspire and innovate the curious minds of students by teaching them how to become active citizens and lifelong learners. I am committed to accomplishing my goal by persevering through challenges that may occur as I balance working full time and attending my academic classes. I am highly organized detail-oriented resourceful, and a responsible team player. For over 20 years, I have had experience working in education. Currently, I work as a Teacher assistant supporting the educational learning of middle school students. I am compassionate about building relationships with students, creative classroom management strategies, and a take-charge approach to any activity. I am looking to lead by example, collaborate and communicate within the educational workforce. In my spare time when I am not working on my personal goals or focusing on my job, I love to spend time with my family by going on road trips or taking on creative projects like together scrapbooks, drawing and organizing.
