About Laszlo Bodi

Laszlo has over 45 years of global experience in the fields of civil (geotechnical / geological / environmental / highway and railway) engineering. He provided engineering services and lectured in four continents from the hot, desert climate of the Middle East and Africa, through Europe, Asia and to the far North, permafrost areas of Canada and Russia. His experience covers a wide range of areas including mining and energy related projects (mine infrastructure, tailings and waste rock disposal studies at scoping, prefeasibility, feasibility and detailed design levels), foundation design and construction support for buildings, bridges, hydroelectric and nuclear power generating stations, pumping stations for TransCanada pipelines, transmission tower and pole foundations, transformer stations across Canada, large, elevated storage tank and wind turbine foundations. Laszlo has extensive experience in settlement analysis, stability analysis and design of road and railway embankments, pavement evaluations, stability analysis and design of various concrete and earth-fill dams, stability analysis of excavation slopes and design of complex shoring systems (retaining walls), design and testing of grouted ground anchors as well as design and testing of clay liners and environmental impact analyses for landfill sites. Laszlo also has abundant international academic experience in disciplines of civil engineering, particularly in geotechnical and foundation engineering.
