About Laszlo Zopcsak

Dr. Laszlo Zopcsak is the founder and CEO of International Wellness Institute (also known IWI Fitness Education), a fitness, wellness, sport training provider school. Through IWI, more than 22 fitness-wellness professionals were certified since the year of Laszlo also has created IWIREPs and HUREPs trainer registers. Dr. Zopcsak is a Visiting Lecturer and Academic member at Universidad Europea de Madrid and Real Madrid Graduate School. He is a guest lecturer at Faculty of Health Sciences Semmelweis University, as well as at the University of Physical Education and Sports Science in Hungary. Laszlo has been a visiting professor at Slippery Rock University, PA, USA, recently. He is a member of Medical Fitness Association (USA). Laszlo received his PhD with a "European Doctorate Mention"​ and "Outstanding Grade", at Universidad Europea de Madrid, Spain (2011). He completed his research practice at University of Greenwich, School of Science, UK. His research focused on comparing different periodized training models of fitness club members, involving qualified Personal Trainers. Laszlo holds a masters degree in Adapted Physical Education and a BSc in Physical Education. He finished his Personal Trainer studies at ISSA, Santa Barbara, Cal. USA. Laszlo was a former expert (7 years) and deputy director of the Professional Standards Committee of the Brussels based EuropeActive. He was the president of the Hungarian Health and Fitness Association (MFESZ) for 10 years. Laszlo was appointed as an Industry Panel Expert for American Council on Exercise (ACE) in 2016. Laszlo Zopcsak has 25 + years of experience working in the fitness industry. During his professional career he worked as a personal trainer and fitness manager in Cyprus. In Hungary, he was a Personal Trainer entrepreneur, later he managed several newly built fitness club projects. He created and launched the very first accredited Personal Trainer Course in Hungary in started and lead into the job market the Wellness & Spa Manager, Performance Enhancement, Corrective Exercise Specialist and Medical Exercise Specialist professions.
