About Latif Bashardost

Latif is an innovative Team Leader and motivator with +16 years of progressive experience in the fields of project / program management, institutional capacity development, peace-building and socioeconomic development of youth and vulnerable communities. He has over 12 years of supervisory experience within team-oriented style of management that promotes the team’s productivity, effectiveness, efficiency and personal development. Latif has extensive experience in peace-building, livelihood and recovery related programs with specialization in Demobilization and Socioeconomic Reintegration and Rehabilitation of youth combatants within the context of community security and development. These also include design and implementation of community based development, training and education programs. He has built very strong field coordination, program management and leadership skills and have had central roles in various programs since 2005 involving management and capacity development of diverse teams of professionals. He owns thorough knowledge of crises prevention and recovery particularly community-based social and economic development through community based participatory needs assessment, planning and implementation. Furthermore, he has expertise in gender mainstreaming and conflict sensitivity using the ‘Do No Harm’ tools. Latif has a thorough knowledge of the IDDRS, management of arms and armies, conflict prevention, and recovery including safety and security systems with proven leadership and operational capacities.
