I currently hold an active Nursing Home Administrator’s License for the state of Illinois. Patients served includes geriatric patients, terminally ill patients, respite, hospice/palliative, skilled, patients with severe physical disabilities and patients with DSM-IV chronic mental illness. I am familiar with Federal/State regulations and the survey process as well as comprehensive knowledge of long term care Medicaid and Medicare regulations and standards, therefore exceeding the requirements for Illinois Dept. of Public Health guidelines/standards has been a continuous goal that has been met. I am knowledgeable regarding cultural sensitivity which enhances my ability to communicate effectively with a diverse resident population, their loved ones, physicians, staff, and corporate leadership, utilizing diplomacy and discretion. Being involved with residents, providing assistance to staff and ancillary providers, promoting a positive work environment, and providing empathy and compassion to the residents are part of my daily regimen. I have the ability to remain focused while operating in a busy environment. My strengths include patience, compassion, professionalism, dependability, good judgement, confidence, effective planning, problem solving and coordination. My strengths also include my interaction with staff and managers. I treat everyone with respect and dignity. Goals are clearly outlines, the rational behind them and I adopt a team approach for input. I value my team, and I try to find ways to enrich their jobs by having clear expectations, and assisting them with achieving successful outcomes. Some of my achievements over the years include, increasing census, increase CMI/RUG categories and rates, successful IDPH surveys, successful completion of Medicaid audits, assist with staff recruitment and retention strategies, developed policies and procedures, comprehensive knowledge and implementation of COVID-19 mitigation strategies, and much more. Hardwork, honesty, diplomacy and precision are just a few attributes that I have contributed during my career. I have maintained positive working relationships with my corporate leadership, co-workers as well as the staff that I supervise. My experience, longevity, strong work ethic linked with my strength of character, on-going commitment to delivery of excellent resident care, drive for excellence and genuine desire to help others makes me a prime candidate for the position.
