About Latoya Morgan

LaToya Morgan is an assistant principal at Benjamin E. Mays High School (APS). She provides leadership and oversight for International Baccalaureate (IB) and Signature programs. Prior to joining Mays High School, LaToya was the STEAM Program Specialist at John Lewis Invictus Academy (APS), where she established a culture of STEAM through Project-Based Learning (PBLs), Community Partnerships, and interdisciplinary planning. In addition, she served as the Director of School Leadership for 3DE at Banneker High School (Fulton County), improving teachers' outcomes in re-engineering the high school experience for their students. LaToya's professional experience in education also includes over a decade of teaching both domestically and internationally. LaToya holds a Bachelor's in History from Jackson State University, a Master of Education in Secondary Education-Social Studies from Mercer University, and an Education Specialist in Instructional Technology from Kennesaw State University. She has conducted educational research in Malawi, Africa via a Fultbright-Hays Grant Award. She has participated in the Foreign Policy Association Teacher Institute, Mount Vernon Teacher Institute, College Board AP Teacher Training, and ISTE.
